Emissive normally means a material that emits light. Most quality offline rendering engines that bounces light will pick self illumination or emissive maps up and use them as a light source. Just keeping common values like offset everything 2, 4, 5, etc, or use snapping to move in preset increments, really easy and simple to do. No need to remember specific values as you're just moving piece X 2 units in Z, or whatever, you can simply look at it and remember how far you moved it, no need to go and move it… -
