Hey! This is a Black Manta fan art, one of my favorites DC characters. I based the concept on the New 52 Aquaman comic (I really enjoyed the movie by the way) and thought this would be a good time to do this character. I sculpted it using ZBrush, I modeled some parts and Maya and finally, I rendered it using Arnold.…
Hi all! Been working on this guy in my free time for the last few months. It's been a great learning experience for me and I think a significant improvement on my previous work. Still room for improvement but I think I'm calling it done! Software used: ZBrush Maya (xGen + Arnold render for hair) Marvelous Designer…
Hi everyone, I really like Ed Binkley's art and I tried to do something similar but in 3d. honestly I still consider it at the level of idea. I would like to add more details and maybe I will advance with the rigging part as well. There is plenty of room for improvement.. Feel free to leave a comment or feedback. Thanks…
Oh my bad, I thought you wanted to do realtime in the viewport. For easier rendering, you should look into Arnold, or even mentalray. But you'll have the easiest time actually using a game engine. Like Unreal. Some links to get you started. https://polycount.com/discussion/88933/how-to-make-terrains-for-games/p1…
UDIM support! thank you, I am now very happy. These videos are fantastic and
thank you for adding all the export functions to Maya Arnold, Unreal, Modo and
so on. It will make going between projects a breeze. Allegorithmic's software is amazing, from now on it's going
to be the go to software.…
Use Phong or Blinn for Shiny stuff and lambert for dry concrete. Be aware that Mayas standard materials (Phong/Blinn, Lambert) were created for the legacy Maya renderer, and are not physically based. Modern renderers like Arnold and Mental Ray have their own physically based materials, so if you want to render out cool…
Yeah, play it safe, Hawken - a few sets on the ol' bench press and you might be all bloated up like Arnold Schwarzenegger. I was thinking of outlining of my current training system and what my goals are for the year here, but I'm afraid I'd be ostracized from the community here! I set a new personal record for deadlifts on…
There is a lot of SW for rendering, for example Marmoset Toolbag or Arnold but you can also render in Unreal Engine if you want. So I think it's really up to you. You can also go to Artstation and look at characters of other artists and sometimes there is a logo in corner of the picture that indicates which software they…
One month and a half after the last work posted :( I hope I can add new things once a week at least. Here are some wheels I was working on. I'm doing a BMW S1000RR. The materials are presets form Arnold for previewing purposes. I hope I can finish the modelling in a month, this two wheels took two weeks approx.
Pior, yea, she does have that kinda "Arnold" look (Sorry Guys but she does! ) about her. But for a Quick sketch it was done quite well on the back I think the area in the far right side the angle is just I dunno "off" in a way, but thats the only thing I saw that could have been corrected. Was this off Pad? Or "Wacom"?
