Your normal map looks like parts of the high poly and low poly were not matching up well, or you should of added some hard edges. It could cause some weird issues with specular highlights and shading.
This sounds bad but do you drink a lot of booze, slip? I've had similar symptoms when partying a bit too hard while vacationing with friends in the past, and a quick googling seems to confirm that the two can be related.
Cheers for this, Jesse. Now comes the hard part: picking a domain-name. What's the deal with domain-parking anyway? Are you forced to buy that domain off of them? It seems even the least likely candidates are parked. It's a fucking annoyance.
Hey man, for the last render the reflections could really benefit from AA. It's a bit hard to read the details and there's so much to see! Awesome work so far though, really looking to see how it comes together.
not totally sure how to feel about that bake. would you mind posting an FPV shot? it's hard to tell from the given angle but you may want to be allocating a lot more tris to the areas closest to the eye in FPV.
I suffered from that too. But then I crashed my hard disk a couple of weeks ago and now all my stuff (like the flying dutchman) is gone and I can start all over with new and exciting stuff
I wish there was a bit more contrast between the character and the BG. It looks like it is foggy and thus making it a bit hard to focus imo. I would just decrease the intensity of the image effect and make the bg a colder colour.
I made a mistake there, yea. I just scaled one end of the plates and got some stretching ;P I'll just not include that shot on the site! Or, I'll fix it later on :) Not that hard after all. Thanks Jackd Up :)
Yea I'm not hard and fast about the 3 year rule, I just don't buy the latest thing to plop off the assembly line. I think we covered that in the "check out my new system" thread.
Must have missed this. Great work Effekted! And yay for turning off jet black hard edged stencil buffered shadows! So you just hand painted the light in? Or generated lightmaps somehow and overlayed into the colour maps?
