Hey everyone! I'm a third year student making my first online portfolio and would love some advices and critics :) Since I'm studying in Tokyo some of the text is in Japanese but the rest is mostly english. Thanks! http://nicolasswijngedau.wix.com/portfolio
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20050607/lf_...hBHNlYwNzc3JlbA Picking up 1 Japanese girl isn't very hard....I would be impressed if he had one in each hand over his head.
My local serves something called "harry porter" never tried it. If you can pick up Japanese brewed Asahi it's worth the price of entry. (not the filth that's brewed by licensed brewers, terrible)
Belias is the guy who upon hearing of the Japanese Earthquake that devastated hundreds of thousands of lives, posted in the PC thread 'Gee, I hope Konami is ok'. If you want the definition of an asshole, Belias is it.
I don't know about the law in US , but japanese anime has been doing simple knockoff for long time http://nopybot.com/2011/11/29/parodied-brand-names-in-anime/
Some inspiration: http://www.3dcg-arts.net/ Follow some of the links to authors pages, they have tuts, but in Japanese. The modeling of the heads have not changed much over the years, just texture work.
Yeah, they did an amazing amount of tech and artistry in this game. Here's an interview (originally in Japanese) about some of the tech, including info about the Colossus' and Argo IK... http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/File:Making_of_sotc.pdf
I think Tokyo was on first line :) Worry is that shit is going to the south, first place Japanese scientists are waiting for the big one... (Nobody was really waiting Sendai's one last year O_o)
+1 Yep if anything i would've assumed they'd take a look at japanese pop culture or games for that matter...yoji shinkawa's robotic designs for example. I wish ron cobb was doing it :(
Hehe yeah Hawken - It's like, forgetting how fun it was to pose a cool action figure as a kid :) Is Posestudio free ? Or cheap ? Anyone knows where to find a demo link ? (It's all in japanese aaaah!)
