so, yes. i was really going for the "wacky" 70s-80s scifi and not the seriousness ones. plus chickens have a dear place in the CSGO community...so cyborg rooster with lasers...i figured why not.
Excellent video MMAAXX. Haven't seen this yet. It's a bit hard to find good tutorials and videos for this kind of stuff. Most people do scifi, weapons or characters. It's a bit of a niche. So much appreciated.
When I say realistic, I just mean the materials should read as real. It can be a scifi gun or whatever that may not actually exist IRL but it should read like real metal, etc.
thanks for the recommendations, I was checkin out the sandman series on amazon earlier. how about some scifi comics/graphic novels? I heard Bengal worked on some, I bet those are pretty badass heh
Hi, I'm making a simple SciFi environment to learn unreal engine. This scene is very basic as you can see. There are no textures yet, just basic materials. I will be posting my progress. Please comment and critique.
Heya dudes! Starting a small scifi corridor scene. Going clean - but will elaborate on some broken panels with visible wires and such. Will edit my main post with the Latest Updates. Crits and ideas welcome for sure! LATEST UPDATE: 30/05/11 WhiteBox Layout:
Hi friends, its my first post on polycount. Im present my 3d artwork, it is military walker in the scifi style. I will be happy for your feedback :) Software: Blender, MD5, KeyShot7, Photoshop. P.s: Background-promo art of Amarath Chronicles.
Nice suit design, feels like a scifi dwarf :) What are your plans for the interior? How do you want to make the suit for Dwock? Currently the front looks empty but is the door actually a transparent surface?
When I saw "top down" in your title I thought of Patema inverted... since you mentioned top down, you could make a scifi environment with the ceiling as the floor :o that would be interesting
@obscura yes, definitely. If it were complex chain of events, something like a scifi blast/pressure door with spinning wheels/gears, sliding bars, and the like, I would probably set it up in Max first.
