Hi,

I'm making a simple SciFi environment to learn unreal engine. This scene is very basic as you can see.
There are no textures yet, just basic materials.
I will be posting my progress.

Please comment and critique.

I like the angular patterns you have cut out of the back wall, I think that adds a nice effect.  I understand the modularity of the design, just be careful of those pipes being too dominant in the scene, they are drawing long straight lines all the way down your scene and being able to break those up a little bit with some other shapes could go a long way. Good work so far!

Do you have a main reference for it or anything. First thing I would point out is its pretty generic, I guess that's fine if you really just want to make something simple to learn unreal but I think you could do more with it to make it a lot more interesting, because what you have so far is good for the stage its at. I would recommend looking at the hard surface areas in Halo 4 and 5 (inside the ships, facilities etc)  for some good reference on how you could detail this and make it stand out more. There should be tons and tons of Halo concept art online too.

    Nice job so far :)

Completly agree with you. These pipes are too dominant. I'll change them for sure.

Yes it's absolutely generic. My guess is the final result will look nothing like this.
I'm using references from Alien Isolation. I love that game. The mood is fantastic.

Very nice, I created a scene with Alien Isolation in mind fairly recently.

Ill keep an eye on this!

Things changed a bit from last time. Still trying to figure out the "mood"
