I am pretty happy with my EEE PC Laptop too. I actually bought it on Rick's advice here. It's very easy to carry around. It runs most MAME roms well(Street Fighter 2 for example). It actually runs Quake 3 with good settings at good frame rates without any kind of overclocking. The resolution on the smaller-screen-version…

having looked at some of the geometry I would say if they used renders they probably used something of a higher resolution to generate the icons. One of the few normal mapped items..... it's pretty low res in both geometry and texture :/

Hi! Could you share the meshes? Does the same issue occur when baking just one element? Is this a game asset? Low resolution per element probably doesn't help too. Since there are many repeating elements, part of the texture could be reused allowing for higher resolution. A measure to to reduce aliasing showing at seams…
And that someone was me! Yeah, for something like this which is constructed out of multiple distinct shapes lumped together, I'd certainly start it out as seperate pieces, and merge it later to work on the shape as a whole. It's just so much easier to work on the planes of each seperate bit, without running the risk of…
Rad :) . As i said i would recommend doing a fullscreen mockup. But i guess to be more specific. For multi-resolution, i like to think about the game screen in terms of having bleed. So if you are using the base resolution of 512x384 (half of 1024x768), that is where all the gameplay needs to fit in, and then you have are…
A couple things, first off: Toolbag 2 performance depends entirely on your video card. You've got a 640m, which is mobile version of the 640 and not a particularly fast card. This is most likely the source of your performance woes. Personally I would recommend something as fast as say a 560TI for good performance. I just…
Hey guys, first post here as the discords I am in are mainly weapon related, and as ive found these things are very very different issues. I am in the process of making a bunch of buildings. To preface this, I know modular components are very versatile and many of the more basic buildings in the project are comprised of…
I have a 5 million polygon mesh. I have a 6k resolution image. I need to attach/append the spotlight image to the mesh. That way when I move/scale/zoom/scroll the mesh the spotlight follows. This way I can paint maximum detail onto the mesh at super high resolution. The spotlight projects exactly what you're seeing on to…
