Senior Character Modeler
You are an exceptional character artist who creates memorable characters for a large scale fantasy MMO game.
What you get to do every day
* Be an exceptional, passionate character artist who creates memorable characters, and researches and develops character content
* Work with Art Director, rigging, animation and engineering to determine style, look and quality bar for our characters
* Model, UV map and texture characters in high polygon, low polygon and in game resolutions
* Handle technical aspects of character creation such as pipeline concerns, assets build with optimum efficiency, and creation of advanced shaders and asset integration
* Work closely with other art disciplines to determine character technical specifications
What you bring to the job in your professional toolkit
* BA desired and a minimum of 2+ years of industry experience
* Must have shipped at least two game titles
* Hands on expertise in several aspects of videogame art production to include concept work, modeling, texturing, and shading and be highly experienced with Maya, Photoshop and a geometry painting package such as Zbrush or Mudbox
* Rigging and animation experience is not required although a strong understanding of their principles is essential
* Strong traditional Art skill with some examples of your recent work
* Attention to high quality anatomical detail in your artwork
* Solid understanding of computer graphic fundamentals and video game Art production pipelines
* Solid understanding of Art fundamentals to include color theory, light, shade and form
* Can work in different styles and create texture maps from scratch
* Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
* Great communication skills both written and verbal
* Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
* Collaborative, upbeat, work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
