hes VERY cool looking.. I do have to say though, his design seems a little disjointed-looks like Warcraft... 40 thousand years later. Could be nice to have more of the daemon armor elements creeping around the design somehow- I know he's done just my two cents. It's still badass though! -

In my opinion, it doesn't matter HOW you make the textures, as long as they work well for their purpose. Personally I don't place a value judgement on painted vs. photo-sourced, only on quality of implementation, and suitability... WoW needed painted, HL2 needed photo-src. My 2 cents of course. Marcus from gears of wars is painted on 3 2048 maps (spec diff and normalmap), and a 512 for hairs (don't think xan has hair, did he ?). No separate sheet for head and his face is good enough for close up so i think you should stick up with the 3 2k maps. (just my two cents) -

I love it adam, and this is strictly from my opinion, the steps to the door don't seem right, usually they aren't a small ladder as much as steps at a 40-45 degree angle. It looks as if they've been well used, I wouldn't expect him to need a ladder to get into his house.. just my 2 cents, looks fun tho! -

Musicians - black & white watercolor sketches (Heavy DL)
Over the past 3 weeks, I've been filling up a 40 cent sketchbook I had lying around with sketches of musicians, mainly to get my confidence drawing manually back up to speed. I'm not sure if that could be misunderstood, but having the stamp of a studio on a render, doesn't make the render professional or good, nor it proves you're an expert. This for multiple reasons (quality standards of said studio, who contributed in addition to you...etc), but my point here is that you can still make… -

@ Dave Jr. - Are you sure the places you marked red are "metal places"? Or did you mean metallic in appearance? If they were made to be metal then the character would have a hard time moving around with that much metal on her or maybe even uncomfortable to move around with. Looks like maybe it could be made out of kevlar.…
