Over the past 3 weeks, I've been filling up a 40 cent sketchbook I had lying around with sketches of musicians, mainly to get my confidence drawing manually back up to speed. Materials used were a mechanicial pencil and a tube of black watercolor.
I'll post these chronologically, so maybe a sense of my on and off days gets across.
WOW really cool presentation. As I scrolled down through the pics, they just became more detailed and awesome.
You have some serious skill and imagination.
hooray a conceptualist who pandered to his inner addictions, ate mcmuffin and thus wasn't clowning around.. before painting something quite original.
I love these. Are there any band shots in a little gig hall? that would be special wall art type of paint.
Glad you like them! They're all free to model, but are a bit light on interesting detail so I won't feel bad if anyone took liberties with filling them in. I've got no solid plans for them yet, maybe I'll touch up a few of the ones worth salvaging, but I'm itching to move on to a new theme and style for now.
