Riders Hello everybody, I'm very glad to present you today our racing game, we've planned to develop already since a long time and now headed over to UE4. But first of all, who are we? We're small project group called Game Twice, who plans to develop community based games. The team contains right now Programmer, 3D…
Hi, I'm trying to work out how to uv and texture a race track in Max. I've built a simple track to experiment on (using line and sweep). I've been trying out the graphite modeling tools - I want the faces highlighted in light blue to be the road, the ones above to be mountains and the lower faces to be mountains too. All…
If you are trying to extrude faces you can press alt+e, and then extrude along normals. In that menu you also have other options for especial extrude operations.

So I created a mask using the scorpion mask as reference. I think the texture could use some more color variation, and the lighting/compositing…
Hey guys, I was working on some texturing for my model and all i did was save the texture and reapply it, perhaps tweaked a couple of verts here and there but nothing major and all of a sudden i get this crazy shading where the edges are? Has anyone had this problem before i cannot for the life of me work it out? Cheers!!
This was inspired by the painting Vaso Reversibile by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. I was trying to recreate the painting in 3D, which will sharpen my 3D modelling/texturing skills. All C+C are welcome! Artstation post: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/wnE0X
Hey, guys. It's been a while since I made a thread for a character of mine but I figured this one needed one because of all the different images. I made my own version of my favorite character from the TMNT universe. The shredder is 7300 triangles with a 1024x1024 texture. Hope you like it!
Hey guys, I just wrote a quick guide about how to fade a object base on its angle, using Ue4, its useful for faking light shafts, glow and stuff using planes without making so obvious that its just a plane. You can find the more details and a bit of explanation on the workflow on my website:…
I thought I'd link this here for posterity. It's a basic summary of the FWVN thread on here by @Obscura (referenced in the vid) for those who wilt at walls of text..... :) It's demoed in Max/UE but the principles are universal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kizs6RIa1dQ
