Just to give you guys an idea, here's the past 2 years. The fantasy one was mostly matte painting, except for the dragon, castle, and spear/banner, which were 3d. For the scifi one I just snuck out of bounds in the Arcorp level in Star Citizen and took some screenshots.
I actually think about time travel a lot sometimes because, as a black man, time travel scares the crap outta me. Go back too far goodbye modern medicine (and communication) hello diseases. Don't go back far enough... Hello 3rd class citizen.

@Toku I think the things you are trying to make sense of in the concept are up for interpretation. As you can see not even star citizen stuck to the concept, probably because the things you said were not that functional. I'm just going to try fill in the gaps myself and try and match the feel of the concept.
I think will show up when my billing and tax information is confirmed by Valve, which is a process that might take a while since I'm not an U.S. citizen.
