So we are working on a test scene for an iPhone game and we had some questions having never built a level for the iPhone before. 1.How should we go about breaking things up modularly so that we can use them in other scenes 2.Any recommendations for texturing a scene such as this, the style of the game will be very…
What does model sheet for environment look like? I found lots of T-pose character model sheets, but how should I draw model sheets for an out door environment? If I am building it modularly, do I need to draw "front" and "side" view of a chunk of rock that will be turned around and flipped sideways?
This is a project I am working on in one of my classes. Ref for the house: Ok right now my house is at 27,000 tris. I haven't optimized it at all so far, and I'm going to leave the poly count a little high for it since I'm building it modularly and going to import it into unreal 3. I'm shooting for about 25,000 tris when…
Hey guys, Since we just released another DLC, I thought Id go ahead and post up some of the stuff I worked on for Raams Shadow. A large portion of this was done during my internship and a few pieces after I was hired on full time. I worked on this closely with Pete Ellis, with him tackling the exterior and me doing the…

Hi guys, kind of in need of some urgent help. If anyone can offer some advice I would appreciate it. I am working in a small studio and am the only artist. I am working on some UI for use in our project in Ogre and have hit a wall. I have never done any ui stuff at all so this is entirely new to me. The coder has asked me…
I have a workflow question. I am working on a scene with a lot of low level assets. Mostly boxes, crates, mirrors, picture frames, etc. The assets are different enough that I cannot build them modularly. I have talked to several folks and they say where they work there is not enough time to make a high poly and…
Hey guys. In my final semester of school and just finished my first environment in Cryengine. I was aiming for more of a semi-realistic Fairy Forest, with a sizable dose of fantasy. I'll post a quick ~2 min vid of it, that I'll be using in case I get job offers until my second environment is complete and I can put out a…
Started working on a castle hall interior with its inspirational basis in the barrel arcs found in Gothic castle & church architecture. Here's a reference shot: As we can see I need to create more height in the hall to get that visually appealing majesticity :) I'm doing this environment semi-modularly. Here's a few days…
Hello, recently I decided to revisit a University project that I wanted to improve as I had a great time making it, but unfortunately also had other modules to contend with so I couldn't accomplish everything I set out to do. The scene is based on the Balin's Tomb scene in The Fellowship of the Ring (before the cave troll…
