The two spy items are awesome, but I love the Cloak and Dagger the most. Spies used to be nearly useless on large games on maps like 2fort since the corridors into the base are always being pyro spy checked and you're always running out of cloak at the ends anyways. With the Cloak and Dagger you don't have to risk running…
really ncie work luke here is my keeper of the northlight sculpt, new mount, hood, beard, furcollar, staff, and cloak end the lowpoly stuff is the original keeper of the light
using a combination of This concept and the original miniature. i've made this: will start texturing tomorrow, and will make his sword and staff too. polycount with armour/cloak/helmet = 3400 budget is 4500 (to include weapons and inside of mouth).
The beard is a bit odd; vikings (in general) were not known for their meticulously sculpted facial hair... Large & bushy beard? Fine. Beard just coming in for the young 'uns? That could work... The color isn't working for me. It just seems muddy. I'd recommend picking a more traditional color - brown or blonde, or possibly…
Looks great, but the gold on the cloak looks a bit muddy. I love the horns but I would love to see it in the game angles, the darkening of his collar would be interesting to see from that angle.
Your first step should be throwing up some images with a neutral (50% grey) background. Models are hard to read on black the best of times, and that cloak is disappearing entirely into your background colour.
Comicon Challenge; I pick Raven from New 52. Playing around with her cloak/wings ;) http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/threads/62272-Comicon-2014-3D-PyrZern-Raven-Stand/
The new concept's looking awesome, I liked gauss' red cloak thing though, and the bulkier armour on the forearms. The model is looking good so far, the biceps look a bit deflated though.
Great stuff here. dchung please continue that looks promising! Been dicking around with this the last few weeks, so it wasn't really for here... approached the cloak entirely wrong I see now.
