@b_beauchamp Loving the murkiness! Though it looks like the specular terms on the fish skin are very high, to the same extent as the glass exterior. I think murky liquid like that would largely diffuse any penetrating light. Maybe try to find a way to keep the speculars on the glass but soften them on the fish skin.
I like the simple shape of the head but why not add some high-frequency details (bolts etc) and add some metallic style scratches since I assume its made of steel etc. Material indication (scratchy sharp specular highlights, or diffuse specs on plastic ) will bring your characters to life
Thanks for the answer, I used Google and found a lot of infos about Z-Buffer fighting. That didn't do it. But, that was leading me somehow to the right solution. When I deactivated the mipmaps for the diffuse. It stopped. Maybe I don't have enough culling between the UV islands. I will try that now. Thanks!
@kadeschui next month's concepts look amazing! I wanted to try the prop challenge next time, but how can I say no to those environment concepts? ;) everybody is doing a great job so far! Soon I will finish the base diffuse textures for my scene, then I will post my progress!
Yozora ahahahah,i'm so glad :) Worked on the diffuse alot today. I think i'll leave it at this and start working on the spec and gloss. Btw,i thought it would be a funny (or disgusting) pose to have his tongue sticking out,so it will take 10 minutes tomorrow to give him a nice tongue :)
Apothecarist's Rite - January 2015 (i dont have an images for the diffuse so i nabbed Belkuns!! will replace later) Back to our roots of sticking flowers on things, Sunshield worked with Dotapit Series 3 to make an original set for their upcoming tournament chest. We love flowers and pink. s'all good.
