Batch bake? I could just use the transfer maps tool if I wanted to bake them out, but it keeps crashing. This is very strange. Why would they just leave out an "export textures" option?
If my understanding of Topogun is correct, it doesn't just allow you to draw topology over another mesh, it will also transfer across the high frequency detail. Like one of the new features in the elusive zbrush 2.5
I have seen some good things from Tor Frick's UDK Masterclass DVD. But I am wondering how relevant is it still? I know alot of the material work will transfer over to UE4, but what about the overall work flow?
Hi there. Is there a way to copy the animation from one biped to another? Like, i have a biped that is animated, and i want to transfer that animation to another biped which is riged already and put on a model. How do i do that? Thanks Pedro
I have tried everything the internet has to offer? I cant bake Fiinal Gather maps in Maya. I can bake AO / Diffuse / Normal but no FG?....help? (im trying to do it in Transfer maps like the instructions told me :(
Well scratch that. The transfer isn't 1 - 1. Smoothing groups are bitwise values (1 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 etc.). Maxscript is the most logical choice, and this points to a unexpected result in DCM. I'll log that ;)
Well, go figure. I thought I had a work around for this problem it seems that I don't. I just reprojected the details on a new mesh. It's transferring onto other meshes that were perfectly fine....
Hmmm, maybe a transfer attributes between a curve and your polygonal mesh ? This way you could use the curve to control the polygons. I'm not sure if you can constraint it to only a certain number of vertex however...
That's cause it ain't his money that'll be getting spent. :\ If you can transfer locations with your current employer, and have a decent support network should things go awry, then sure. Could be worth a try.
