Is it planed? Is it possible? I know not mayny ppl use toolbag for their hp renders, but there are some, like I, who use it along with zbrush instead of keyshot, etc. And toolbag is one of the fastest software in importing 3d files. goz id great format - it takes seconds to export from zbrush whlie fbx can take long…
I noticed when creating a texture such as "chrome" for Unreal 4 that it was coming in dark. Forgive me if this has been answered or if I'm doing something wrong I'd just like to know. I just updated to the newest version of DDO today but have had this problem for awhile with the current and old versions. I start a project…
You might actually want Marmoset Toolbag's baker instead. Substance Painter is crap for quick iterative fixes. Toolbag visualized the bake cages and lets you manage your baking groups on the fly, among other features. Unless something has changed with Painter. Painter's baker sucks. Marmoset has a tutorial for their…
So I have been following the intro tutorials to Substance Painter and got to baking normal map to work with UE4. I decided to test the same mesh with the same map in Toolbag and got a mess in comparison. The mesh was exported in a single smoothing group. Is there a way to make it appear properly in Toolbag without having…
Toolbag 2's Fresnel gets more reflective a grazing angles, as in real life. In Toolbag 1 we had the weird "center gets darker" method but that doesn't really make much sense. More here: http://www.marmoset.co/toolbag/learn/pbr-theory The gloss/rougness map also affects Fresnel, which is covered a bit in the link above.
Hi experts, I am currently working with some quick iteration isometric environments, and decided to use Toolbag as the rendering/showcase tool. The style should be more cartoony with the cel-shaded look texture. The look should be similar to the toon shader in Substance Painter. The problem is I like the rendering quality…
No worries. If you have a license for Toolbag 3 it will continue to function if you've purchased Toolbag 4. You can have both installed at the same time as well. You can find old installers here: https://marmoset.co/toolbag/history/ - I think you should be able to get the TB3 installer from the account section on our site…
I'm using procedural substances in Toolbag and for some reason they are displaying incorrectly. On more than one substance I am getting straight lines across the texture and bits of extra transparency which aren't present in Substance Designer. If I export bitmaps and use those in Toolbag instead the errors are not…
