I was considering using layers of alpha planes with enough geometry to deform, shift and move correctly to create that wispy effect, so that I could render that effect in Marmoset or in engine.
Here is a Work in Progress of a Roman General that I started a couple days ago. Comments and suggestions would be awesome :) Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag, created using ZBrush, Maya, Photoshop.
Thanks. I made a couple of screenshots with wireframe on my artstation page https://www.artstation.com/seoredbus there is a marmoset scenes with some objects. The whole scene contains about 50k points
Anddd another small update, just gone through and sorted out the AO layer and added some more material definition in. Rendering these out from marmoset now too.
Update! This is the LP rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2 (first time using it- gotta say I'm impressed big time) Need to play around with the material definitions a bit more
Hello everyone! Got to finish this project and I've uploaded it on my ArtStation! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OyWVqe If you guys wanna check out the high quality renders and Marmoset.
Thanks guys! :) Glad you like it so far! I use marmoset to render it for now. I'm not sure if it's possible to have reflections there. If it isn't , I'll take it into CryEngine 3. :)
