I tried to replicate it just now, but I cant even get the input window up. I've got a feeling the project somehow got corrupted. When I try with a blank project everything works fine. However this gets me worried, as you can image, that whatever I work on can get corrupted at any time.…

Joel: Thats some great work you did with Mari. Seeing it used for actual game art makes me want to give Mari another shot. I tried it before on my 1680x1050 monitor and found the UI took up almost 3/4 of the screen leaving hardly any room for the viewport. I'm running a 1920x1200 now so maybe it'll be useable :p
If you want to offset the bricks correctly the pivot has to be placed in the center (at least in my method) since the offset gets calculated from the pivot point. This way the pivot in the center will easily snap towards the edge of the texture plane. My Plane was 256x256 units wide. (16x16, each brick was about 12x64 but…
Size matters with tablets, so depending on type of usage I would filter it also through size of screen. For example, you can get a 7 inch Asus Memo pad with a 16gb hard drive for $99, this by the way should be the same company that actually makes the nexus 7 for google. With the Galaxy Tabs by Samsung you get more access…
I use textures.com mostly if i need a texture input for something. I don't use that high resolutions tho, albeit they have some 16k and up textures aswell. In that case you're right, poliigon.com is considerably more affordable. Guess i had other uses in mind that don't require such resolutions.
corners with a temporary layout to test modularity. Ideally, light orange, blue, and khaki sections would all use the same texture. I removed the holes in the corners due to squashing effect. corners made using bend modifier and a slight manual editing to get the vertecies on the grid, or wthin 0.001 units. blue convex…
I haven't figured out a way to use the move tool with specific units, and eyeballing it won't really work for tiling textures. I have had moderate success using the offset option in deformations but it has it's own weird quirks as it can only offset 100 units at a time, and it has a weird convention for the value of those…
