yeah, I really liked the retro suit at the start of the trailer, nice to see the evolution. I am quite curious who the villain will be. That last shot of him breaking the sound barrier is a little hackneyed I think, but it was still pretty sick.
I roll deep, with all seven provided options. I collect video games, so have even more consoles than the ones described here. And I still enjoy pulling out the retro goodness a few times a year.
Definitely need to pick this up, it looks like Retro did an awesome job on it. It's a pretty big shift to go from Metroid Prime to Donkey Kong and it would appear the transition was effortless from the screenshots and videos that went out.
depends on were you live, I work about walking distance from Retro and Bioware Austin and a short drive from plenty of other studios. That's probably why game dev home ownership is so high in Austin.
to be fair puzzle lineups, catapult games and tower defence are hardly original concepts, not that I appreciate direct clones, but half the time some new facebook or mobile game is just some rehashed bullshit from the retro era.
I understand and appreciate going back to the retro special effects and props, but the movie feels like an amateur fan-made movie rather than an actual Star Wars film. (like a college student's attempt at making a movie)
We used to do these quite regularly. Post your workspace go! Here's me currently, dev mac, build mac, retro gaming area and server pc tucked away underneath. (the little black button next to my wacom changes input to the macs)
I think there are some nice texture, but some parts lack volume. The bandages around her shins look particularly flat. Just think about how they wrap around a conical shape like that. Are you going for some retro-style ninja?
Nice! I was originally going to do something in this colour scheme but ran out of time! Something I could suggest you to try is a retro rainbow stripe to add the 70s/80s feel to it. Like in this image. Interested to see how this turns out.
for me its MDK or original Tombraider. Just can't beat them for good old "gun and run" action. I'm a retro kinda guy though. God of war was good though. I generally 5 years behind when it come to games.
