Hi! Its my first time posting here so sorry for any format issues. Anyways, to the point of the post. Just a quick background, I studied Games Design at University for 3 years and one of my classes was 3D. I have been using 3DS Max for 3 years and although I have made some models and environments I am happy with, I feel…
You can also bake OpenGL in SP so you don't need to flip Y. You can bake multiple texture sets in SP based on MatID. Just import all 4 meshes as a single .fbx making sure you have assigned 4 unique mats when exporting from your 3d package. What a weird setup in CryE? Glad you sorted it.
Mudbox is fine for that. Since this project of yours isn't inclduding the most complex organic sculpting, you should be alright with this. Just try it out. OR you can just model the base high poly and "sculpt" those details in Substance Painter 2 on top of the baked normal map you baked from your high to low. I recommend…
Hey, Is there a batch tool, program or script that could take many 3D model files and automatically create a few PNG/JPEG images of different angles for each one?
yes its strange. I dont understand it. I ended up baking the glass seperate. When I put in the base colour alpha into opacity in unreal, thats when I noticed it deforms. Ill collect and send to you.
After watching Kris Costa zsummit session, explaining how he utilized the feature “HD geometry”. Where he created amazing extreme high detailed portraits. I wondered if the feature would be useful for a video games pipeline. I wanted to see if I could get high quality skin/pore details, whilst doing this all on one texture…
ok so still same question applies. "how do I make a normal map in this style?". with the below files and videos.. Should i be doing a low to high poly bake? should i be doing a High to low poly bake? I have attached the actual 3d model wheel that ai am trying to create the normal for that i will be using on the game model…
That is already happening LOL and there is no stopping. The end goal for most products in the entertainment industry is to make it cheaper and faster. While still maintaining the same quality. Here is one example: Life After Pi I think the worst thing to do, is to take jobs away from others not cool.
@murilojones "yeah, so my main question is: you have this very high poly model that comes out of the photogrammetry software, right? But you are probably not using this model in unity... You retopologized the model to work with it in real time. Is that right? The high poly was used to bake normal maps in the low poly? how…
