This is one of the strangest ideas I've seen, I think you should make it into a jet bike with 4 fold away legs so the cat runs with rider attached till it reaches full speed then a turbine kicks in and woosh, off they go! I like Anuxinamoon's idea with the tail, but not a furry one :)
The bake is nice, texture are good too, wondering how you did the carbon fiber. Only thing that bugs me is the reflective shader, the bike looks more like its sugar coated than reflective material, maybe that has something to do with the AO bake + reflection? It bugs me also that there is a bit of red paint over the seat :P
i've been drawing again and now i came up with a head conecpt (i overpainted it in photoshop to define the lines better) i want to make him have really dark green hair and add a really muscled body to him. still working on the body concept. (maybe i will make a really muscled centaur with an axe or pike out of him, but i…
Now that there is a boolean modifier in 3dsmax, this seems like a logical next step. Please vote for this feature request on the 3dsmax forum: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-ideas/boolean-mod-smooth-transition-fillets-with-variable-width-like/idi-p/12404457 From that post: "Fillets with variable width between…
A lot of what was said above rings very true on my end also, I just kind of forgot some of those things :) And yes to add to the fan base. I remember releasing UT2004 and having the fan base go wild. Basically people mostly thought we got it right compared to UT2003. It is fun to have the fan base enjoy the work you have…
Does Vive require a screen warping image effect and/or chromatic aberration for correction, like the Oculus? Those get to be expensive since they run 90+ times a second.
I was going to attribute and link an HTML version of this to the Mike Lin website, when I considered he might have already done so. Sure Enough. He's got more good stuff people might benefit from: http://www.beloose.com/tips/tips_graphic.php http://www.beloose.com/tips/tips_design.php I like his philosophy, carried right…
Hello! I started learning Plasticity recently and wanted to share some of my thoughts about the software. Maybe this will be interesting for people like me, who have a poly-modeling background and consider giving CAD a go. First of all I was pleasantly surprised how "artist" friendly Plasticity is. The interface is very…
What channel are you looking at? 'Mesh Maps -> Normal' would be the bake. This is what I see in your attached file: But what does your current shading look like, low poly with normal map applied? I would work on the asset looking at that. What you're looking to learn from the normal map channel? I only check the normal map…
