hey everyone Can someone tell me how and if it is possible to export a layered texture fram maya to UE3? I can get multiple materials to work when the different materials have seperate faces, but what about when the different materials have shared faces? I am using maya8.5/ actorx tool Thanks steve
Ok, today I stumbled on a new problem in Maya when polymodeling. When I extruded an face the edges of the face got dark. (see pic) Tested to harden/soften the edges but it didnt do any difference. Any tips on what I've may have done and how to fix it again? Thanks a bunch in advance.
I've been messing around in Max today, and for some reason it will not allow me to select faces unless I click on a vertex, then it selects all adjacent faces to said vertex. I'm sure I must have pressed a hot key to make this happen, or clicked a button somewhere, but I have no idea how to undo it. Any suggestions?
Nice design and 3D model so far. :) What I could suggest is to make the bunny bigger in proportion to the rest of the building. Also, please check rabbit proportions (e.g. make the ears much longer and face the side a bit; less front-facing like cat ears). Also, consider what is the main product or service that is being…
I've been working on faces for the past couple of weeks. Didn't realize how intricate ages faces were but it was definitely fun figuring it out. I think I still need to work on making the hair look more voluminous so any tips will be helpful!
Looking quite lumpy on the side of the face. The cheek bone needs some attention as well, bit of a mess around there. The lighting in this portrait highlights his cheekbone well, and the silhouette of his face on the right. Looks like a more prominent brow line than you have.
Audi - I'm totally rocking this music from now until the end of the competition! As for the face, I'm trying to play with proportions a bit to push him more towards stylized. In the paintover I actually pushed in his jaw line a bit to thin out his face.
Seriously fucking AMAZING work! I have had some of your WIP shots just on my desktop all day because its so fucking cool. The broken parts of his arm and face, the material definition and the look/expression of his face. Perfect!
ok, time for some update, i have been making the boots but doesn't work out yet, so i jumped to sculpt the face, roughing out the shape and proportion of the face, still no details yet. gonna do some retopology and do the details later.
Before you export to any other application. I would recommend you always use "conform" function under the "normals" tab. It will take all faces and set them all in 1 direction (Being either facing out, or inward). Hope this helps, Cheers!
