@Lucas Annunziata Thank you for taking the time to make that paint over. I have taken your crits to heart. You made me snap out of some kind of tunnel vision I was having about the details. I realized I was making a couple of mistakes. For one, I wasn't paying attention to enough reference. So I have some reference for…
Well its been quite a while! The 3D visual team at work has been pushing towards getting into more interactive projects. I have been leading the charge since I have always found interactive media interesting. Back in collage I took a few courses learning Macromedia's Director and learning the Lingo scripting language that…
My god lets see. 1999 - Wrapped up my freshman year of college. - Worried more about playing baseball, partying and chicks then my studies. Didn't enroll for the fall semester. - Broke up with girlfriend of 3 years. Went on to bang lots of chicks. - Left Maine for the summer and spent most of it between Fayetteville, NC…
animation is popular as always on polycount ;) cool reel. it has more animations that I'd prolly have in my reel, rather than animations that companies "want" to see, at least if I am to believe the people that have told me to put more runs and walks in my reels. fuck those people ;P don't know how much one can crit on…

This is a scene that any professional company would put a large team on. As an environment artist, it is not merely your job to build an…
We had a guy Tim Eyman, that was working to reform tax laws in Washington State. He managed to get the tax on car tabs a flat fee of 30 bucks. Shortly after that a huge smear campaign was launched and turned everyone against him. The same thing happens but on much smaller scales each time someone tries to get into office…
I think this thread has defenitly gone south and pissed a ton of people off, who at one point in time may have been some of our best members. Polycount is a brotherhood not just a site, we wear green and black shirts to work and in public. Some of us even wear them to bed. I know that I am just a mere novice in the game…
Your data maps have likely been imported with sRGB enabled, turn it off in the texture settings for any Roughness, Metallic, Normal or AO maps (including packed AORM maps).
I've finally found a part time job! Now I have time to get back to doing my portfolio instead of boring job searching all day. :poly121: Here's a knife I got started on two weeks ago. I hope to get more modeling done this week followed with texturing and rendering. Reference: High poly (W.I.P) Here's the video I've been…
