Turn of the decade would have been 19....
-was at college trying to turn my life around, studied GNVQ Foundation Business to get some qualifications due to never going to high school- did pretty well at the end of it and was getting in to doing skins for Quake 2/3
-went to uni on a multimedia course, only lasted a few months as the course was shite and wasn't going in the direction I was hoping. Also discovered weed hehe
-had a bad bout of depression (wonder if it was linked to the weed?)
-got my shit together and started building a portfolio
-got introduced to DanR via HarleQuinn and ended up moving up to Leeds to work for Mobius which became Rockstar Leeds.
-spent 5 years up there
-lost my mum, one of the most painful events in my life- also lost a few other relatives, most of them to cancer
-got myself a psycho gf which nearly put me in to another bout of depression
-gained 4 neices and nephews
-learnt to drive
-ended up quitting Rockstar Leeds and moved back to my home town
-met my other half and a year later got engaged
-also gained and lost about 60lb each way heh

-biking accident totally injured my left knee (still cant kneel down due to nerve pain)

-got my dream job at Bungie
-left all friends and family to move up alone from San Diego to Seattle
crazy last 10 years, hope the next 10 are just as fun and interesting.
- Wrapped up my freshman year of college.
- Worried more about playing baseball, partying and chicks then my studies. Didn't enroll for the fall semester.
- Broke up with girlfriend of 3 years. Went on to bang lots of chicks.
- Left Maine for the summer and spent most of it between Fayetteville, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. Had a blast. Went home when the money I saved was all gone.
- Joined the Navy in October 99.
- Graduated boot camp in Dec 99. Was still in boot camp during New Years eve for 2000.
2000
- Stationed at Fleet Anti Submarine Warfare base in Point Loma, CA for training.
- Grandfather passed away.
- Went to first ship the USS Kinkaid DD 965 as a Sonar Technician
- Moved off boat after 2 months to get own apartment.
- Banged lots of chicks.
- Bought first car 95 mitsu eclipse. (Still got it, still a piece of shit.)
- Bought surfboard and gear and went surfing for the first time.
- Shark swam under me and buddy.
- Sold surfboard and gear.
- Bought new snowboard.
2001
- First deployment to the Gulf aboard the USS Kinkaid.
- Visited and partied in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Bahrain, Singapore, Hong Kong, Hawaii.
- Banged lots of non American girls.
- Member of USS Kinkaid non compliant V.B.S.S. team (Visit Board Search and Seizure)
- Met a special lady on yahoo personals.
- Sept 11th happened 4 days before I was supposed to get home from my first deployment. My ship still went home to San Diego but we were told to not go more than 150 miles away. Plane tickets to see family in Maine no longer good. Called girl I met on yahoo personals for booty call and to hang out with.
- Fell madly in love with that girl and married her less than 3 months later at the Hotel Tropicana in Las Vegas.
- First apartment with wifey.
2002
- Made the US Navys All Navy baseball team and got orders to play for them during the season. Traveled around the southwest US playing semi pro ball.
- Back to my ship after the season was over
- Bought Xbox. Played too much halo
- Visited Mazattlan, Mexico (SP)
- Began to tear apart and decom the USS Kinkaid.
2003
- Last year in the Navy and was a member of the US Navys first ever sea swap with the USS Kinkaid - USS Fletcher
- Deployment to the Middle East again.
- There for the start of the war on the first night we shot tomahawks. Watched them fly away into the night sky.
- Visited Perth, Bahrain, the Seychelles, Singapore
- Got out of Navy (honorable discharge)
- Went to school for Game Art and Design at AI - San Diego
2004
- Got first job outside of military working at a pizza place with my best friend.
- We both quit the same day when we realized our boss was the cheapest prick in the world.
- Kept going to school
2005
- Our first child was born. (SON) Kaiden in May.
- Kept going to school
- Got job at best buy for the Geek Squad
2006
- Still in school
- Quit working for Best Buys geek squad when my hours kept dwindling
2007
- Mar - Graduated school
- Apr - Got first industry job freelancing
- Packed up all our belongings and drove cross country from San Diego, CA to Madison, ME
- Got first studio job in Nov at Midway in Chicago.
- Packed up again and moved to Chicago.
2008
- Left Midway in May to go work at Raven Software on Singularity
- Moved again. This time to Madison, WI.
- Decided to have another baby (Octoberish)
2009
- Crunched like a mad man.
- Our second child (Daughter) Hailey was born in July
- One week after my praternity leave ended I was layed off at Raven.
- Began freelancing again
- Sold off some Star Wars collectibles
- Celebrated our 8th year of marriage
- Got new job at Budcat Creations as Environment Art Lead
- Christmas in Maine.
- Packing the house up after getting back the last few days of the year to prepare for the move from Madison, WI to Iowa City, IA.
- Graduated High School
- Graduated College
- 3 Serious Relationships
- 3 vechicals
- Lost 2 Grandmas
- Moved out of the basement
- 6 part time jobs
- Finally got a real job doing what I love
- Learned to love beer
I feel like I'm a completely different person from who I was 10 years ago.
It kind of sucks to not recognize who I was, but at least I know I've grown a lot in the right direction.
