@ pixelpatron - Thank you for the continued feedback and yeah... What you said about lighting... It's probably been the hardest part of this project for me because it's just been blocking considering the whole thing being "finished" and it's an area that I'm just not comfortable with (working on it though!). The god rays…
On the first impression, it looks great, you have some fantastic work going on! I can easily see this being a really strong portfolio piece. Below the surface there are a few things that need to be thought about. Even if you don't make changes to this scene, take some of this stuff into consideration with your next…
It's looking okay right now. I think its suffering from two things at the moment. Your textures are all very blurry, especially those on the bedsheets and overall the material definition is definitely lacking. You say you are using 512 and 1024 textures. Push these as much as you can, otherwise there not much point to use…
Depending on how low poly you want to go I would reconsider some of the trash assets and just model them out. Nothing crazy, just avoid simple planes. I haven't done anything with the Unreal engines, but I never trust planes as they could cause some clipping issues. Also for the roof I would add textures for the edges.…
Makes me so happy when students go on location in London to find interesting places, particularly roof tops, I don't know what it is about roof top shots but I just love them, maybe its because as a kid I always used to love going on top of my Dads hairdressing salons.:) For example I love this students image, it captures…
Sadly, as predicted, I haven't had much of a chance to work on this project. I am working on it when I can but I doubt I will be able to finish before the deadline. The project is certainly helping me get back into my previous software and is great for learning Unreal 4, regardless of the competition I aim to finish this…
Yea I've got a bunch of references for the roof tiles and the roof. As well as different kind of walls that were used such as the wooden slates here and brick work ones aswel. The pink part is seperate from the main part so I'm going to keep it like that so I can re use it again somewhere else as well as the roof tiles…
I really want to take part of this challenge since I never got around doing the Titan challenge. I'll be at this alone, going to start developing an original concept. So far I'm thinking; sci-fi fantasy, nature/technology integration. A Throne room for some kind of biologically based cyberbetic king. The development of…
Ahh cool I like it. I like the area where the tower and house meet, that mossy/ivy bit is a nice touch. I like the painted details in the textures nice work! This next bit might scare you but I wouldn't take the time to post it if I didn't think it would help. It's not meant to make you feel like crap but to help you…
