More tree sculpt updates. I'm still working on tertiary details and trying to make the scale work with the character. Also trying to fix the "wormy" feel of the roots. Will sculpt leaf and modular branches next
Big update here. Got quite a bit of work done since my last post. These include:* Sculpted one of the three large trees. * Used SpeedTree for the foliageand smaller treeand will do for the ones in the background. * Sculpted the rocks in the foreground. * Sculpted a tile-able wall and placed it in the scene. * Set up some…
Nice start! I'm liking the forms, it looks a like two semi-sentient trees guarding or worshiping the throne (maybe even wanting to sit there as their roots are so light on the ground). There's a lot of life and 'movement' in those tree-like sculpts, very cool :)
Sculpted the leaves and branches for the trees.. So much detail that really won't get seen when it's baked and put on to planes but it's still worth it.
I need a bit of critique on this tree. It was initially a test to see if I could manage to get something that looked like a tree. Should I keep working on it? (currently retopologizing it). The remaining detail (the bark, etc) will be added in the normal map, as I can't sculpt it.
Ended up re-doing the fallen logs. Now I'm going to sculpt a tileable texture based off the texture on the fallen tree, so the standing trees can match. Then I need to find out how to go about making an assortment of rocks..
Just some nature stuff... probably going to add ruins, a tree or two, some bushes, and call it a day. Trees in the back are old placeholders, all bark textures are placeholders too. I feel like the sculpted detail on the rocks isn't there yet either.
