I found a lot of tutorials about reflection maps but nothing about a "reflection map mask", I need to know what it is for a work, someone knows how it works and can attach an example about it please? I would be eternally grateful to you! Thanks in advance :)
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows how to flatten the bottom of a mesh in mudbox. For example, you have a rock you've sculpted and grabbed all over the place, but you want the bottom to be flat so it sits nicely, does anyone know how this can be achieved? Thanks in advance.
v1.8 Windows 7 64 When I try to use the reload feature in dDo, I select the map, but after reloading, and checking for example links, it is stuck on the previous version. And when re-rendered of course it is using the old map. Screen shot attached.
of course the country matters, say you live in north korea (technically second world), your options are way different than living in india. just an example, but there are implications based on where you are located and here might be people coming from your country with first hand experience.
I second not to use skyboxes anymore. Skydomes are the way to go. You can use hdris at it out of the box so to speak. Terragen is cool. But every 3d package with volumetrics should do the trick too. Blender for example. It's not even more work, dependant of what you want to achieve.…
It is in demand, similar to the other game art disciplines. Some opinions about that here: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Game_Industry#Art_Disciplines What artists are considered the best? Opinions and examples here: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Portfolio#Examples Yes it can be freelanced,…
It´s probably the method with adding procedural textures on a Group/Folder and 0 out the channles you do not want. An Example file is attached. There is sadly no explanation given regarding the handling of the Alpha texture or how to export it so it works.
Welcome to Polycount. Unfortunately, "Take items" is not a great topic title. If you Use Meaningful Specific Subject Titles you'll get better responses. For example "Daz3d: how pick up items?". I hope this helps you.
Thanks ! Like @florianmking said, i'm using ZBrush for sculpting. If you want to create head/bust like this in Maya you should choose different approach, like for example, setup image planes and model on top of them.
Great start. I do believe your allocating polys to things that don't need as much as they have. For example the screws and the barrel. This could be spent on some of idk.... Lens flair.... Good work mate, catch ya later.
