Substance does indeed shine in a large company scenario, but even if I was working freelance with the right self made tools I could dramatically decrease my time. What substance is awesome at is that it is a tool for making more tools if you really start to work the true magic of substance.
Hey tough guys, I was actually wondering about this as well. Substance painter was lacking flesh, that's no good. I we need more from substance such as the sub dermis maps and the slight glow of the skin, I've tried to make substances of this nature, but I haven't had much success with it .
I am using Maya Arnold, but I think it's not a "limitation of renderer" because in Blender the model with displacement has the same artifacts in viewport. So this is for anyone that ran in to the same problem as me and just bought substance painter beta from there website. If you can't open it and figure out what extension to open it with.
