unf lovely sculpt man :) only thing bugging me is the forms on the main block part of the hand are bugging me for some reason. And some of the pants folds are a bit confusing but very cool overall, especially that head :) hope you can bust out some textures soon, shall be most good :)
I'm starting with just the bust, to focus on getting the character/feeling right first. I've drawn some turnarounds to be sure everything fits proportionally already, but they're not worth sharing yet. Initial Mudbox sculpt: Retopo'd and UVed the skin. Still holding off on the hair for tomorrow. Starting textures, rendered…
so im still lovin this :D love how it has spec color, but i still wish it could take spec color maps, sometimes i have more than one color in my spec color maps. simple pickaxe i busted out quick for my scene for class
hi guys been out for a bit as my tablet busted but i nabed one from my desk at work till i can get another... did some more tonight on this, not 100% sure about the the look of the armour and stuff mabey you lot have some sugestions.. cheers. Jody
here is female bust made for my personal anatomy course, based on Scotts Eatons course. I used his clay tubes modeling technique, but I think for the next task I will mix it it my standard technique, cause kinda hard for me to control the form. And as always critique is very welcome!
I use a very similar app on my phone called PencilBox. http://www.mentalmotions.com/showpage.php?page=pencilbox It works pretty damn well actually. Of course you cant get very detailed, but when I have an amazing idea out of nowhere its nice to bust it out and sketch it down.
In the process of working on this bust and trying to figure out the armor, this somehow became a full character :D Im gonna be working on another piece I'll post soon while doing a paint over of my renders. Any advice or suggestions on which direction the body/armor should go are more than welcome!!!
That's because Ott is the man. Seriously what is this "The economy is bad I can't get a job". Stop making excuses, and stop being lazy. If you really want to get in this industry you have to bust your ass everyday tell you get a job. That's the way its been good and bad economy.
I lost my previous job during the post Fable: The Journey layoffs. Same shit. I want people to buy that game. I didn't bust a nut for two years along with some 60 or so other people who also lost their jobs, only to sweep the achievement under the carpet.
haha... I was waiting for you to chime in Eagle. You better have something done by the time we go back to work. I think a good way to get in the mindset of finishing things is to just work on a couple of smaller things ie: A bust, low poly character, or a fresh skin for someones SDK.
