This is my first environment project that I made for my portfolo. It took me 4 days and it contains 22 models. I still feel like it's too empty, but I didn't had much time since I also made this for a job application. I'd be glad if you could give me some critics about it. Thank you in advance. ps: Sorry for the basic UE…

UPDATE: worked on a basic diffuse and specular to test it in the engine. I'll be redoing it so try to think a better color combination than the one I've choosen (I'll be doing a couple more color tests tho) The map DOES NOT CONTAIN any kind of wear yet. UDK screens:
I dunno, I'm imagining a kind of wise turtle that could be a merchant. Maybe he could have containers/ shelves/ scales strapped or bolted to his shell. I think with a turtle it gives an opportunity to push the idea of age / wisdom, so maybe classes that go along with that somehow.
Ok but now the raised parts are raised the same amount, even though the hightmap had different shades of hight. In Shadermap, I used the normal painting tool to add some more height. So why won't my heightmap be converted with the different height/angle values that it contains?
Day 2! Not too much progress, but I sculpted the wooden part of the floor and made stools and containers. All textures are still placeholders, I want to get most of the scene modeled before I start any real texture work. Great work so far everyone! :)
I was also thinking of adding a link to a blog that could contain WIP projects so that people could see my current work without having unfinished pieces on my folio. Do you guys think this'd be a good idea or would it just be annoying? Cheers guys :)
Perhaps if the container of fluid to be injected were in the handle? Having it in the blade seems like it would impair functionality, really. And the syringe point itself could perhaps be inside the blade, running down the middle of it, and coming out just under the point? I dunno, really. I like the idea.
I've tried upper and lower case, also tried changing things that could possibly be mistaken for something else. From the way the font is written and the letters/numbers contained in the key, there wasn't anything that I was even unsure about, as they were all clear, but tried anyway. Nay luck.
