Hello,
this animated short film is a combination of a hand-keyed animation and a motion capture. The final story contains several playblasts as well as finished parts.
I would appreciate any feedback, regarding to my short film to be able to finish it in the future. Thank you.

What is good about the project?
What could be improved?

Looked at your breakdown video and saw that you had some reference, which is really good, especially for complex movements like you're doing. I'd suggest taking more time to study the refs to get a good understanding of how the body's gonna move and why. The motion capture clip needs to be edited, I noticed the hands and fingers weren't animated and there was no facial animation. There's also a noticeable jump from one mo-cap clip to another, learning how to combine the clips seamlessly would be a good idea. Handling mo-cap data is often a researched skill in AAA studios, so it's definitely a plus that you're tackling it.

    Hi,
I think your short idea is pretty cute! I know this is a wip but are you working on this on your own? If so try to focus on one thing at a time, follow the animation pipeline. Make sure animation is solid before lighting and rendering. I agree with what EVernier said above, use more time to study the refs, some of the poses feel really awkward and some scenes feel like they are missing some key poses and in betweens. I think this could be a really solid short I hope you post more updates. :)
