one end is constrained to a stationary object, and the other end has a hydraulic pump to adjust to distance and its constrained to a moving object (which moves around) so basically i want to know how to rig the hinge thing as seen in the pic above.
Quick noob question for you guys. I am looking for a way to lock a edge loop or other component into place. Not the entire object just a component within the object. So that edge loop that is set can remain unchanged while I work on other loops that are around it. Is this possible??
If I don't put exit and I have selected multiple objects then when one export is finished it starts another one for every selected object. It is certainly not the best script, but I don't know better for now :D
Hi! I baked mesh maps in Marmoset Toolbag and after importing them into Substance Pianter I noticed, that normals where edges create mirror objects looks odd. This is mirrored object, and this normal on the middle is undesirable, it should be smooth there. My question is how do I bake maps in Marmoset to not have this…
I have found that in Maya using auto unwrap on very high poly objects sometimes crashes. But doing separate UV projections always works. Sometimes doing a UV projection to split the mesh and then auto unwrapping in chunks works too. The auto unwrap in Houdini is much better than Maya though. If I was working on a very high…
Hello @BrunoWerneck Right click on your texture node->convert to texture object. You can also place a "texture object parameter" node if you want to change it in a material instance, and assign the texture to it after placing the node.
Also it depends on the software you use.. I could tell you that you can make that in a few clicks with 3ds Max's Spring object under create>Dynamic Objects>Spring but you are probably using another application.
solid color and glow map? OR you could make it 2 objects and give the glowy part one of the cool green gooey mats from udk im not sure how that would work, or if it would need to be 2 objects
Select your objects and in the Lighting window select the Object tab. Then in the Advanced Parameters dropdown, choose Create New... You should then have a whole bunch of new options to choose from including baked tag and system tag.
I have an old script that works well for this. With an object selected it will refresh all materials assigned to that object. With nothing selected it'll refresh all materials. I have it assigned to a hotkey. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1889770/alexxUpdateFileTextures.mel
