Hi, Game devs. Need some help and feedback. My problem is that I don't know how to set up my lights correctly for composition. Also, I've created materials for base colors, roughness, and normals. Feel free to criticize my prop as well. Thanks in advance.

Hello all! I'm going to go to a vacation, and almost missed this opportunity. Just in time. .:) This is a placeholder for the time being. After I come back (next weekend) I start working on my environment entry. Good luck to everyone! UPDATE - FINAL SHOTS: The turret: The Creep Den:
More work toward the textures might help it out more, the wood lines look like quick dam standard brushed, like quick to get it out to make that $. Quality makes all the devs come to your yard.
It's held up pretty well almost 10 years later. :) I would love to see a store pop back up. Def need a few more greentooth shirts, I'd take a hoodie and some stickers too.
No reason to open this thread, it was all over the general thread yesterday, and it was posted on the dev forums. The models compile fine, it is just the various previews that are bugged out. You can use hlmv in the mean time to test most items.
Ah, my apologies then. I saw "stealth" and Deus Ex and I went right to the machine pistol / Yelena as reference. I do still think the gun is not very stealthy. The biggest issue I have is the drum mag.
You should be calibrating your monitor once a month to account for the shifting in output of colors as your monitor ages as well as changing lighting conditions. So you'll def get your moneys worth if you buy one :)
I remember running into this problem with dev on PS2 era games. I think the solution we used was to adjust the UVs of the object - bring the UVs close to the edge, but never actually touch it. So a U value of .95 or thereabouts.
Man those dev tools look so sexy. Not gonna lie I just want to get my hands on Source 2 standalone, if all this lives up to what they say it's going to be the competitive game engine to beat.
