Thanks for the advice, @dGreenberg! Yes, I’ve been using the same format for the side view for a while, and it’s mostly due to me using some guidelines to match the front, because like you stated, I seem to prefer having the front view the way I like, but the moment the model is turned, there’s that cringe factor going on… -

Right click on the view label (in the 3D viewport at top, displaying the name of the view you're currently in) and in the drop down menue go to other - Flat. perhaps you're in an untextured view mode like lighting-only or detail lighting? Or, if you did set some weird view-flag, you can reset the viewflags by clicking the little black triangle just to the left of the cycle view button (the capital P/T/F button in the top left of each viewport that flips through the different… -

In the camera workflow above, you don't use RTT nor BTT. Instead you use the regular renderer, and your own camera. You can then save outputs using AOVs.
