As an example, I create models for public use, as part of my work for my employer. These are meant to help developers develop new material standards for WebGL and glTF. * https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Sample-Models/tree/master/2.0/GlamVelvetSofa#glamvelvetsofa *…
(legacy) dDo worked perfectly for me. DDO (pre 2.0) didn't work perfectly but I found ways around it. DDO (Suite 2.0) is a complete disaster from my perspective. I've never managed to get one of my meshes to load since the change to 3DO. I'm still having this issue with the 2.0 version of 3DO and now it seems to rely on…
The reason why it appears fine when you drag the export file prefab into the scene is because it automatically rotates that prefab 270 degrees on x. You want to export it so that if the rotation of this group is (0,0,0) the tree is facing up.

It was printed with the 1.75/1.8mm filament makerbot sells. The layer height is 270 microns. I've done prints at 100 but to do this size at that resolution would have taken 1.5 days to print....so...yeah :)
@Baddcog Thanks for the tip, I was actually thinking about that before the concept. It just didn't look like Frankenstein enough, known for the square head and all that. It'll help with poly budget as well, considering the bolts will be ~82 triangles, so I'll only have ~220 for the hair, I'd like to keep the sharp hair…
