Butthair: Thanks, Ya I still have a lot of detail and decay to add. I'm straying a bit away fro mthe concept. Some more work, mostly just focused on the left part. I'm going to add the same detail to the rest after.
Here's a digital painting that I just started and would like to get some critiques on it. I definitely want to work on the zombie some more (work on the skull, the positioning of the right arm, and add more decay and disgust into him) and I feel that the composition could use some work.
Don't know about the interview, but there is no way that it's thousands of years after. Apeture would have completely decayed by then. I think it's only been a dozen years or so. [Edit].... the timeline according to the interwebs claims that portal 2 takes place a few decades after 1 ...
Hello everyone. Update. Very slowly continue )) * changed the grass. Train has found rust. added the decal under the rails and gravel, as well as some new propsy. Decay of a pixel, nathdevlin do not worry, debris and broken pieces will necessarily be some new image:
I'd recommend sculpting in some more bone matter/decay. You can see the holes & ridges from the first image reference Lavitz posted give it that old feel, right now its looking a little soft, otherwise real cool helmet dude!
whoa I like those stairs a lot. They really seem worked out of the stone and decayed over time ... :D keep it coming! if you really want to put the house up there my only concern would be scaling issues with the rocks and stairs. Just saying :D
I think i can call the texture finished @ Sage thx @ Liam Brocklehurst Not burnt, more decayed and rotten but still somehow alive. Is it the peeled off skin or just the dark brown that makes it look burnt? @ avengersplot Thats a nice compliment! @ pliang Mold added.
i love that painting. seems you would need alot of poly density on the metal to get that subtle decay, might try the nvidia normal map filter instead, just my $.02. you've captured the proportions/details well so far. looking forward to progress...:)
it looks really nice but if he is so slim (decayed/rotten) that you would see the ripcage this much ... i dont think you would have such a well defined breast muscle ^^ also the ribcage seams realy large ... could be because of stylisation ^^ same goes for the shoulders
heres texture start for my Cgchat pocket monster entry.. Wolverine-hulk-prehistoric-dirty-comicbook style... More brown, bluegray and decaying body part abit. FUN! The mesh is on my wip thread. here.: http://www.cgchat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26816 bebye
