this is a guildwars fan art I did for fun Critiques and Comments are welcome :) Specs: 4,463 tris 1k diffuse + spec map PICS: VIDEO: Can't get the embedded to work. here is the direct link http://www.vimeo.com/9738286 REF:
Does anybody have a DirectX viewport shader (.fx mat) that allows you to pick the UV channel of the normal map? I'm working on an object with different mapping channels for the diffuse and normal, and neither Ben Cloward or Xoliul's shaders provide for that. :\
Character I'm working on that is budgeted at 1200 polygons. Body is normal mapped. Wings are wip being normal mapped. Not yet diffuse(RGB color) mapped. Texture size: 512^2 Here's the concept: Wireframe: WIP Render: Any suggestions or critiques would be appreciated.
Hey @slosh So by handpainted I meant hand painted pbr workflow with normal+spec and Hand-painted Diffuse(I'm not sure if it's called handpainted pbr) Hence all the sculpted details.
Here is a simple diffuse+normal map shader with a bit of a fresnel effect. It will be integrated by default in the next update. Please let me know if you think it's missing options or if it doesn't look right!
Nonsense! You'd be surprised what a detail occlusion pass, painted diffuse, and a well-crafted spec map can do. Everything on this page can be achieved without normals or bumps of any kind.
Hi everyone . It has been a while since I post anything. Here is my latest robot , from jake Parker design. Normal , diffuse and spec map. Any critics is welcome :) .
Ah okies, it never occured to me that it might be cast iron. But makes sense now that you mention it. Is all that detail in your diffuse? Also is it possible to have green cast iron or is it painted?
Why not make thumbnails of the finished assets on the main portfolio that links to a gallery page with full-size images of the wires/normals/diffuse and a beauty shot/turnaround? Like this: http://aajohnny3d.carbonmade.com/ http://jordankocon.carbonmade.com/
I like it but the shield face feels really noisy. The designs on the sword are nice, clean and easy to read but the shield feels like you used a black brush and just grunged it up in the diffuse.
