Hi Guys, i am delving in dev for my first 2d game.Infinite runner side scroller type) I am a 3D artist and want to make the environments in 3D, but have no clue on how the workflow works to end up with tileable backplates. Can anyone give me an idea for this? Cheers
This is a scene I did for class at The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles. The models were made in 3DS Max and the textures were made in Photoshop. The tree was made in SpeedTree, but it has a custom texture which I made in Photoshop. The screenshots were taken from UDK Dec 2010 version.
Hey everyone! Today I start working on another environment. It will be a modular corridor with modular rooms in the style of Star Citizen and Deus Ex. I also plan to increase the number of props in comparison with previous works. The main emphasis in this environment as before will be on modularity and customization. Key…

Arnold is developed independent of the Max dev team. You can just download and install the latest Max2A, which features the latest Arnold core. Grab it from here for Max 2019; https://www.arnoldrenderer.com/arnold/download/#3dsmax
i realize this is very old but man ... i kept laughing out loud for half an hour even my cat got freaked out from my laughing dem comments man this is pure gold thread right there
Very cool! Mind if I ask what the dev time on this has been? Edit: as a critique I'd like to see people die in amusing ways rather than just turn red when you kill them :)
