Johny, I painted the skin on the mount's diffuse because it was getting down to the wire and Mop had to finish the base/renders I was too busy to do much either! Ah, procrastination.

Almost done with this guy...viewport is a little dark...I need to render it out for the final presentation so you can see the dark cloth bits better. 3549 tris, 1x1024 and 1x512 diffuse only. Any comments/crit is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Hey, great stuff. For the chains, as you are in a diffuse based render, I would have simply made alpha planes. :) At your render's distance, you would barely see the difference, imo. Cheers
Thanks for the reply dude. Will be sure to check out your suggestion for the Diffuse boost and indirect light settings. What did you mean by using the reflection spheres and roughness map to lighten the darker areas?
Well like ClusterOne pointed out I feel like the diffuse map is very boring and doesn't pop. I generaly use a hand painted texture approach so any advice on that is appreciated.
Render To Texture doesn't work that way. It renders from an orthographic projection of the UVs. If you want to project a specific part of a panorama into your uv, I'd suggest just uv-ing it into the diffuse, and baking that.

self-illumination should kill the light setup, it's just something I do to paint in situations where you would want to paint in shadows (ie diffuse map only) here you go-
