Leasing is the way to go for poor freelancers! I did it with my Cintiq. The specs are my dream specs though (except the chubby pen - looks like a veterinary syringe). This would work great for life drawing or outdoor painting/ sculpting. Fingers crossed, Yaynova or Monoprice or some other price busting brand can offer… -

It matters yes, but there's not a guaranteed job for every artist however good or experienced they are. For any job or freelance gig you can be competing with multiple equally skilled or more advanced applicants. So other factors now come into play outside portfolio like timing, location, how much you want to get paid,… -

I think that Quixel is better for small studio or freelancer while Substance is good for teams as they can share presets. Both are good. Substance is more technical, Quixel more intuitive. Being in photoshop is a plus to me as we can use all super powerfull proven tools and don't have to learn that much in order to start… -

Can't do a green zipper/drawstrings, not in the site controls at least. But since we plan to offer more colors than just black, you could get a white one and mod it. That could be really cool actually. Super busy with freelance work today. But we're listening to all your ideas. And we'll get something going asap. -

i think its a very personal questions, its different for everyone, What kind of person you are, your skill set,hardworker, lazyass... and all that shit Im at the 12 years mark now, Never layoff, never moved for a job. but then again i moved to freelance 8 years ago atleast. Each is own i think. -

I do quite like the approach we took at work, where we got a few initial super high quality concept pieces from freelancers to establish the style, then took those designs and build things based off that ourselves. It's purely for a cost reason but I do enjoy it & have ended up learning a fair bit through it. -

Well there is Yager Games, and lots of freelancers, for example the Airborne guys. I don't live there, so I can't say how tight-knit the community there is. I just know that there is a very vibrant art scene. If you're looking strictly for CG, London might have more to offer with lots of film FX houses and a bunch of game… -

Texelion, these are all looking great!! Yea, I've been toying around with the idea of Patreon as well. I've been doing freelance Miniature sculpts and want to do my own thing. I just haven't figured out what rewards to offer and then the whole Fan Art issue...although Sakimichan seems to be doing just fine, lol.
