Yeah you should be able to use ShaderFX to do this, there's an example in the demo. -

in the first example it's creating a new UV channel - you probably aren't seeing that in the viewport -

Looks pretty good! The pointy deltoids look a little strange. The figure seems to have a lot of surface sinks (the infraspinatus area in pic 2 for example) which look odd. -
