In Silo (and other applications) you are able to calculate the symmetry based on the exisiting topology; if the mesh is already symmetrical. The way you currently have 'Symmetry remove Negative' etc it is the same as deleting one side, then mirroring the geometry and welding the centre verts. This will wreck the vertex… -

That's not a bad process, I'd like to see how you create the materials for this and see how efficient it runs. Honestly, the best way is the way in which it works and runs well, and of course looks great. Best way to make grass is planes. They'll cover up the floor so you don't have to worry about details on the grass.… -
