I think it looks good for the most part, but the scale seems really thrown off by the wood. I could be wrong, but I am guessing this is supposed to be really big. And by the size of the wood grain, it looks almost miniature. Although I could be wrong :)
The proportions of the miniatures are much more 40kish, so I think it will be about finding a sweet spot in between the two. I would include all the details from the first reference, especially the head of the hammer, but keep the shaft as think and beefy as you have it now.
Model the bolter not a nerf gun =( Nice start though. His arms are a bit long though. You might want to adjust his proportions buddy. To be honest I wouldn't use the miniatures as reference but the paintings. I prefer this take on the proportions for a space marine.
Thanks Evil! Yeah i should def focus more on that. I have a 1:72 miniature which is D with a turret (last ref). Although I still wish to add those cool vent-like things behind the wings on the first ref.
Awesome episode, great set up for the season finale! I'm glad Carl shot Shane, its too bad it was zombie Shane and not "about to murder Rick for Lori" Shane, but oh well, that's still a lot to unpack for a miniature adult. Comic-esk spoiler
Hi there, first time posting something in here! I've been working on this illustration on my spare time, the idea was to create something like a miniature set (not quite there but that was the main idea). Hope you like it Cheers! more images on my Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/fabriciocampos
rust.....so much rust. Now to pull it back with the metal again, and then throw in a couple of highlight passes......yeah I'm aproaching this hand textured thing in the same way that I would paint a miniature, it seems to make sense. he has a tail now too :)
While looking at that old post, I see all pictures vanished. So I finally add the sketchfab I did for that obelisk... model ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, Just a small Obelisk I wanted to make in 3D. The original concept is from a miniature by James Wappel... Any critics welcome...
if you can get your hands on a space hulk box you might very well be in for a treat. if not you can just buy a few miniatures and get the rules and stuff from the internet. probably. building your own space hulk is also pretty fun.
Hi guys, I'm working on a Jack Sparrow miniature / figurine. It's around 75% finished and it's time for some critics. Mainly the final pose and some smaller details remain before I start to prepare for 3d print. Here is a render of Jack's rings. I made them to work as stand alone pieces.
