create a reference folder of things you like, look at other artists work, go outside and just look around, read books, watch some non brainless movies. play around with alchemy and try to find some interesting shapes that make you think of something.
Cool creatures guys! :D I love how simple is it to just drag them from the browser window in my creatures folder. Here is the official mirror: http://eastore.ea.com/store/ea/en_US/DisplayProductDetailsPage/ThemeID.1252400&productID=101447000 Some more from me:
Is there a way to set up Google Drive so that it backs up selected folders on your computer? Or how do you go about backing up with it? I've been using Mozy but if there's a good way to do it with GDrive I wouldn't mind switching for a lot more space.
Seconded. In my case, however, I've left the 120 GB and added the 240 -- I've got the OS and whatever insists on keeping data in the user folders for the 120 GB drive, and programs installed to the 240 GB. The 120 GB drive filled up far too quickly.
Great guys cheers. Might give that script a go, because max does not want to play today and it doesnt jump to material types when I hit 'image' on the displace modifier, it navigates to just the regular images folder in max for some reason :( Ah, the joys of 3D!
You need to drop it into your zbrush folder which is C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R6\ZStartup\BrushPresets That way the brush loads up automatically in your brushes when you load up zbrush. At least I think that's what the question was D:
http://www.tmhunt.com/pics/nano/ heres some shots for my small reef tank i had back in my office at mythic. some nice reference on colors an vibrance in there, also there seems to be one shot of me from 1994 that got put in that folder, i was handsome.
To open rendering options, LMB the mesh when you're not in painting mode. Open DynaMask on your folder or layer, then open the Material IDs rollout. Click the Links button. CTRL+LMB each masked area you'd like to add to your current mask. That should do it. :)
I would recommend you activate incremental save. This way Maya creates a new copy of your scene every time you press ctrl+s and stores it in a folder called incrementalSaves. Go to File > Save (click option box) > Activate incremental save + unlimited
It's kinda strange ^^ the displ seems to have bigger tiling, but you can't change it because it's used from the folder and not loaded into a mapslot.. Maybe this helps you a bit, try to check every step and make sure u did everything right. http://www.simonfuchs.net/folio/tut02_pom.htm
