Yeah, CrazyBump's not gonna do the best job with seams like that, I'm afraid! It'll do a better job if you make sure to bleed across your seams as much as possible, but even then it may not be perfect!
looks awesome! If I had to crit, I would say the darker blue of the mountain (on the right) blends in with the marine's armor and makes his silhouette harder to read. Fantastic work on the textures. Real inspiring stuff.
good, now paste a layer of some real metal texture on that and play with the blending/opacity until u get something nice also, that green is too saturated lower the color, it needs to look abit old
The headgear makes more sence now when you've worn them out like that. Blends in more with the face. Are any of this machinery operated into him in some way or is it just equipment? Lookin great, keep it up!
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html Free normal map helper, comes in handy for small normal map edits. Comes with documentation on how to use. Don't overlook the power of using it with "overlay" blend modes in Photoshop.
Looks really nice, just one thing I noticed- In the wood board of your arm rest, it looks like there is a bit of texture bleed from baking out the normal, ao etc. (if that makes sense)
I would agree they look way too air brushed. Try some sharpen, noise, or even some textures that you can use as diffrent blend modes ontop of what you already have.
Hi guys, I looking for a senior rigging artist to do 5 characters for a short animation. Send me your portfolio and your rate. Charaters requires facial expression, IK/FK switch and clothes folds blend shapes. Thank you
I want to delete the history of a head mesh in maya without losing the blend shapes. the reason is I made a few tweaks with regards to the normal smoothing and want to collapse these tweaks I tried delete non deformer history , but it gives out error messages. Is there a work around for this cheers
