Final Submission! Beauty shot and close up rendered in Keyshot. Wireframe shot from Sketchfab since the wireframe mode in Keyshot doesn't look anywhere near as nice since it displays in tris instead of quads and Marmoset was giving me problems. Hope you guys like my submission! Backstory: Sketchfab link.
Glad it helps... by nurbs you mean real nurbs, or SubD ? afaik SubD should behave similar enough and coped with some clean hard surface beveling knowledge you should be laughing at anything. SubD is incredibly more flexible than hard surfaces so i'd make sure to master that for sure. If you can do it with hard surfaces,…
I don't think that's a single face, I can show you the wireframe. Edit: Normals don't seem to be flipped, else these selected faces would show up in a darker red, from what I know. It looks the same on both sides. Wireframe view on the side:
Thanx Mop for your comments Ok, here is the body: Body And here the head: Head Wireframe (quickrender): 3166 tris Wireframe Dont forget, it's for UT2004 so no normal mapping yet...max 3000-4000 tris for a character. Regards+ PS: i changed "cheers+" by "regards+"
Show us a wireframe, on a 50 percent grey background...And add in some smoothing groups. Right now I think that the feet dont read well but other than that I need to see this with a wireframe...Also do you have a clearly thought out 2d conecpt?
The first props, pallets, 962 tris, the ones here do have 2k maps but im gonna down size them for the actual scene to 1024. Wireframe, may have to click on the image as thw wireframe has rendered a bit thin :/
his hands are pretty monstrous at the moment, fingers are incredibly long. For your render, you have a large view of the wireframe, but all the other shots are very small and its impossible to see any detail, they should be similarly sized to the wireframe shot
my objects in blender are transparent in solid shading mode after I switch back from wireframe shading.. but if I never used wireframe shading the objects are solid as they should be when in solid shading mode.. bug? what is going on? Also when I am in the modeling tab solid shading is fine (not transparent)
Is that whole bunker uniquely unwrapped? A couple other points: - Do not render on top of white or black, ever. Use something between 33% and 66% brightness. - See-through wireframes are incomprehensible. Just take screenshots of the max wireframe view or, even better, the max edged faces view.
Hey guys and gals thanks for the feedback! As far as the wireframe's go, I'm kind of split on the side of necessity vs. time on whether to render all the wireframes out. Definitely something I would update if I were looking for work, as I agree with you about how important it is!
