I really love the dynamic pose! Although i feel like most of Nami interesting detail is on the top half of her body, Which we won't see as much from this angle. Maybe do a few thumbnail sketches of her body closer and her fins going further away? Anyway i look forward to seeing more of this!
Cool idea! I think there needs to be a bigger pose change from when she's looking at her jetpack and her shooting off. Without effects you'll need to sell the end with poses because it happens so fast. Another option is to not have her shoot straight up, but to the side and back so there's more time to read what's…
Got a bit more done. I kinda figured her hair didn't make sense with the suit, it looks like it'd get caught on things, so I shortened it up a bit. Got some work done on her arm, I plan on putting some synthetic fiber to replace her bicep. Will post more soon.
Her lips are a bit off from the concept, at least in the close up shot, they're giving her a very unnatural look. The concept has the mouth a bit open, as if she's maybe breathing slowly, right now yours gives the impression that she's gasping for air. I think if you tighten up her lips, it will help the face tremendously.
i think she's looking more for a school that has professors who can teach her about sequential art rather than tailoring a class to her needs. and wants one where those professors arent so uptight that she cant make use her expressive oil paint style as she has heard about SCAD.

I wanted to try my hand at a cyberpunk themed character, also a big fan of Deus Ex. :) Have him a bit roughed up to look like a rogue Sarif agent on the street or something like that. Still a bit to go. The augmented arm took a while to get something I was okay with. I found sketching it on my base arm and breaking off…
updated. calling it done. I separated the grip into its own material because i wanted to do all this fancy stuff with translucency and opacity...I couldn't get it all quite right in Marmoset but i'm pretty ok with the results i ended up with. edut* i just want to add that this is my firt attempt at substance designer. it's…
I saw some people were making a hallway environment from a Deus Ex concept piece. I decided to give it a go myself. It's all modular and tillable. Feedback would be great. I can post the process too if anyone is interested, showing all the textures and modular pieces I used. (:
