Hey guys, i am about to work in a game for mobile devices, specially tablets with my friends on our free time and i was wondering what polycount do you usually use for specific things like props and characters. Also texture wise, which is the best resolution to go for? Are specular and normals recommended for special…
Is it possible to make tileable textures like this: http://eat3d.com/free/zbrush_tile in Mudbox? There's plenty of info around on sculpting detail into a plane and tiling it, but I want to do it using meshes; a cobblestone floor in this case. I've done some extensive Googling and can't seem to find anything.
I know Mudbox has the feature allowing you to export the screen to a PSD and skin that way, but is it possible to make the changes appear in an unwrapped texture file? How can I do this? Also, how do I get my low-poly to appear with a skin in Mudbox?
Hey I was experimenting with putting in sprite sheet textures on basic geometry in Maya 2017, but the results kept coming out blurry as seen in the picture below. Is there a way to keep the pixels looking sharp as they would look in Photoshop? Like how they look in the bottom right of the picture? Cheers
As most of you know, I've transfered some textures from one channel to another using that method: and the final result is perfect But look what happens if I bake a map with little flakes in it: They appear horribly stretched. I just can't figure out why this is happening.

In the upcoming weeks, I will finish the texture process tutorial. Spanish audio, English subtitles software: Zbrush, 3dsmax, Maya,…

Hey guys, I lurk a lot but I don't post much... Anyhow, I am putting together my first portfolio to try and get hired as a 3D generalist, or a modeler, or whatever I am qualified for. I would be very thankful for some advice on formatting and focusing it. I attached my latest work here (Outfit and weapons are my modeling,…
Hi! I'm looking for a feedback for this model's textures before I move to rendering. Is there anything wrong I missed? Can I improve it somehow and make it more interesting? A few screenshots are from SP viewport
hey guys and gals, inspired by all the awesome hand painted characters floating aroung I thought I'd give it a go myself. This character is based on a concept by marko djurdjevic for parasytic moon. I'm using bodypaint for the first time and I'm loving every second of it, however I'm unable to display the alpha properly in…
