Good evening Polycount , are new in this community and at the same time and inceptor in learning English language and in modeling/texturing ( please excuse for some spelling mistake ) - I have to introduce my first modeling in the sea without texturing made in 2 days, (I say again: they are very beginner) "I have only used…
So I just found this bit of news. Competition is for beginners or intermediate artists. If you are a pro…. this is not for you. So DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT :) . free3dtutorials’s end of the year modeling contest is here! Together with our partners: 3d.sk and our new partner site premium3dtutorials.com, we would like to…
Hello guys, haven't posted on here for awhile, I think it's 2 years now, just been watching you guys build your beautiful models. Anyway, from the title you can tell I'm starting on an Iron Man model in Zbrush, something I've wanted to do for ages. Critique and Comment's are welcome :D This is one of the pieces of…
I've been snuffling about the web lately looking for good examples of low poly models and wondering just what makes a good low poly model beyond just that it's low poly? Texture style seems really important for example. Crappy blurred out textures won't do. Should the textures be low color count for example, or not?…
I know Max 2010 just came out, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a change to play with the new graphite modeling tools (polyboost) that are included with Max. I'm an XSI guy because I love there modeling/selection tools, but I have been looking for a good retopology program and was thinking of giving Max a try. (Topogun…
after i finish sculpting, then i start to paint the model, i use zbrush only to paint my models, then i use some materials of mine and the help of the projection master i project the effect of the materials i made on the model wich gives the stylized effect, without even painting that much
Lovely model. I think it would be alot better if the clevage were at least partially modelled though, its easy to tell that it is just 2d cleavage, and that is where my eye is drawn. Seems like the poly-budget should have allowed for it. Great model anyway though, good job, no more crits.
If you're talking about that little pinch you have going up the side of your candle holder, it's because you have that extra edge loop that's throwing off the even distribution of edge loops around your main cylinder piece. When you are working in smooth preview (3 key), rounded objects are very sensitive to how the edges…
so i was getting sick of making unified skins, projecting, and getting bad results more often than not. since sculpting in sculptris has served as a refreshing experience, i wanted a way to get that auto tesselation in zbrush. my solution has pretty much been to do whatever i want to a model, decimate it to about 50k, and…
Hey Frankie, nice site... the layout is good, it loads fast and is easy to use, cool stuff. I agree with Kevin that the images which the links go to should be bigger. The highpoly hardsurface modelling is good, nice details on the car and gun, they're presented well. I don't like the human statue and the face…
